Triennial Hop & Beer Festival in Poperinge

On the occasion of the triennial Hop & Beer Festival at Poperinge in 2011, Sylvie developed the first regional product for Zokola: “Belgian hopcones”.

“Hommel” is the dialect word for “hop” in Poperinge. It is a praline in the shape of a hop cone with a ganache from Watou Tripel beer from the St. Bernardus Brewery and hops from Poperinge. With this, Zokola launched the second beer praline and the first praline with hops.

 

Flavor bomb

This flavor bomb has a nice taste evolution from the sweetness of the chocolate to the bitterness of the hops and is available in a milk or dark coating. The filling is the same for both versions.

 

100% west Flemish

This label is awarded to products that meet the following criteria: 

  • contains as much as possible, ingredients from west Flanders
  • traditionally made
  • local based
